Farm Camp

Not only did we pit pie cherries while Amy Jo and her kiddos were here, we did some "Farm Camp" activities!  Alicia particularly like being in the kitchen so she and I did some baking and canning. Allayna was eager to spend some time in the shop with Reynald helping get ready for harvest.

Baking a cherry pie from all those cherries that we pitted earlier in the week seemed like the right thing to do!

One morning we all picked raspberries and then processed them in to some yummy jam.

Grandma Jo and Grandpa Jim joined us for dinner one evening.  The menu included grilled chicken, and fresh apricot salsa.  Alicia made the salsa which is incredible!!!!

Allayna shows great promise as a farmer!  Here she is changing the sickle sections on the cutting bar of the combine!

She replaced all these sickle sections on the cutting bar. It's 30 feet long!!!
