Lights for the finish

We had to turn on lights, but we finished the winter wheat tonight.  Next up.....740 acres of spring wheat.  Spring wheat typically harvests a little faster than winter wheat, because it is a lighter crop, not as much straw to push through the machines.  We have fingers crossed for an end of the week finish.

I don't have photos, but yesterday later afternoon, Reynald noticed several bulges on one tire on Alicia's bank out wagon.  This is not good!  A few quick calls to our favorite Les Schwab store and $5596.00 later, there is a safe new tire on the bank out wagon.  The price tag hurts, but not as much as a blown tire, on a steep hillside would.  So happy that Reynald caught it in time.

Here's what harvesting at almost dark looks like!  It really was a lot more dramatic in real life!
