Perfect Spring Day!

I got a chance to spend all day in the yard again yesterday......still planting.  I'm not as fast as I used to be.  Doesn't matter, it's such a joy to be outside and it was a spectacular day, weather wise.  We had a little shower of rain on Sunday.  The residual clouds were so picturesque and everything, plants, people and animals, were enjoying the fresh smell and look of the landscape.

Sunday we went on a "Junk Hunt"!  Reynald HATES Junk Hunts.  I LOVE Junk Hunts!  Baxter got to meet a few cows which was so thrilling to him!  He also saw some bunnies, and quail and rock chucks, and deer and cats and dogs!  He was just exhausted when he got home, from all the excitement.

I just can't stop taking photos of the flowers in the yard.  I never get tired of looking at them.

The white peony was so brilliant yesterday.

This rugosa rose is also very pretty right now.  The lavender on the left is just about ready to bloom too.

Our yellow rose of Texas.  Also know as Pioneer Rose, but we call it the Yellow Rose of Texas because of Alicia's Alma Mater.

The fragrance is as intoxicating as the bloom.

The bees were hectic with work yesterday.  So much to do!!

This lucky gal drew the quick commute!

A different busy bee, pollinating the raspberries.

We are spraying our spring wheat for weeds, giving it a little fertilizer boost and applying a fungicide to control the outbreak of rust that has hit our country.

The spray outfit!

Indy under this spectacular sky and a nice crop of spring wheat growing underneath.

The mixologist!

This is the top of the building of our homestead, from Gregory's field!   You can see the track left by the tractor where the spring wheat has been sprayed.

Hope your spring days are filled with lots of excitement and beauty.
