Harvest Profile part 4

From Concert Manager of the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in Boston to Field Manager of Rolinco Farms, Alicia has made a smooth transition to the farm!

First day of harvest, inspecting the crop!

She hit the ground running when she arrived in May and hasn't slowed down for 10 minutes since.

Mooney Man rides with Alicia sometimes.  It's important for him to understand the role the bank out wagon plays and the complexities involved.

Alicia is an expert bank out wagon driver, where she can effectively and efficiently manage the crew.

This is Arthur, Alicia's harvest tractor.

Unloading the combine.

Just a little tired after a long day of work, and a long week of work!

She's also especially handy at helping with all sorts of repairs.  She is learning, and learning and learning about farm equipment, how it works, and how to fix it when it breaks!

Changing a fan belt and bearing on Uncle Doug's combine.  Her small hands fit in to the tight places that Reynald and Doug couldn't reach.

This week we were harvesting the field around Alicia's house.  It was a treat to wander through her garden between truck loads of wheat, and a comfort to know that Scott the Scarecrow was watching over our efforts!

Alicia's first garden!  It looks great and producing well.

Scott the Scarecrow.  We're all getting used to seeing him, but the first week or so we and all the neighbors wondered who was standing out in the garden when we drove by!

  1. I always thought of Alecia as outstanding in her field. This is clearly a win-win. Alicia is thrilled to be back on the farm and y'all are thrilled to have her there.
