Just sit right back.....

and we'll tell a tale. A tale of a fateful trip.

Well, an almost fateful trip......we launched the SS Rolinco Friday afternoon.  Our destination was Coeur d'Alene Idaho.  Our niece, Molly's middle school string orchestra was playing in a music competition Saturday morning and we wanted to go listen.  Seemed like as good an excuse as any to find a nearby campground and try out Oliver's new tow bar.

Reynald just had to have a personalized license plate for the motor home!

Parked, ready to set up "camp".

Set up and ready for dinner.

Little Oliver towed like a dream and was super fun to drive around for the weekend.

Molly's performance was wonderful and we were so happy to have been there to experience it all.  We left Baxter behind to take care of the motor home, or at least that's what he was supposed to be doing.  Upon returning, I exclaimed, "why is there water pouring out of the motor home?"

The short version of this story is that Baxter had managed to turn on the bathroom hot water faucet.  We were hooked up to the campground water system, so the water just ran and ran and ran.  Once the 40 gallon holding tank on the motor home was full, it backed up in to the shower, then spilled over out of the shower and on to the floor.

When we arrived, it had just only reached the carpet.  Baxter was sitting on the bed, having retreated to higher ground, watching it all!

A few more minutes and we would have had a really huge mess.  We sopped up the water, with nearly every towel we had along, and learned a valuable lesson.  Turn off the pump and the water before leaving Baxter alone, unattended!!!

The picture of innocence!  Baxter loves to sit on the dash of the motor home, in the early morning hours,  and watch the birds, dogs, people, etc. go by.

Fun trip though.  In addition to Molly's school performance, we had lunch with Mom and Dad at the RV park, went on a really beautiful drive on the Lake Coeur d'Alene scenic byway drive.  Stopped at Harrison ID where there was some kind of community celebration going on, which we took some time to enjoy.

Harrison Idaho, population 247

One of the junkiest junk stores I have ever been in!  Baxter loved it!

Reynald had to have an ice cream cone!

I asked this fellow if I could take a picture of his t-shirt for Roni Jo!  He said he's a graduated of more than one physical therapy event!!

Reynald enjoying his huckleberry ice cream cone while listening to the music in the park.

There was a live band playing in this little pavilion in the park.  In the background you can see Lake Coeur d'Alene.  It's so beautiful here.

A closer look at the band.  They were quite good.

A "fixer upper" in Harrison.  I think I'll stay at the end of Rolinco Road!
