Here comes the Bride!

The dust is beginning to settle, but the warm glow of a beautiful wedding remains.  Roni Jo and David were married this past Saturday, October 8th.  Months and months of planning a preparation resulted in a spectacularly memorable day.

I'll break up posts in to several days, so as not overwhelm, beginning in August when a group of us did some important pre-wedding prep.....

An empty and seemingly cavernous equipment shed, waiting to be transformed in to a wedding reception hall!

Aunt Therese offering an opinion on how to install yards and yards of tiny white lights and tulle!

Jean checking out one of several bolts of ivory tulle.
We made wheat sheaves that we planned to place in various locations around the shop and farm.

Roni Jo trying her hand at making a wheat sheaf.

Jean making her first ever wheat sheaf!

The finished sheaf..... just needs to have the bottom trimmed up to even.  It is beautiful!
And somebody had to tie ribbons on all these little bundles of wheat that are to placed on each napkin at the reception!

Grandpa Jim planned and cut all the pieces for the birch wood arbor.   As you can see, some assembly was required!

Just getting started!  A nice audience assembled for advice, trying to figure out where to place the arbor.
Reynald explaining how this is all going to go together!
Now we had to lay all the pieces out and assemble.
David with the all important tape measure!
And grandpa with the all important chain saw!
And Roni with the equally important screw gun!!!
Installing bracing at the corners.
Anthony holding one leg piece steady until everything is braced and screwed together!
More getting ready photos to follow........
