It was a lovely day today so I got the urge to hang out all the bedding from our bed! Took four trips up and down the stairs to get everything out and on the line, and then of course the reverse was true when it came time to put it all back together. Too chilly to hang the sheets out on the line! They would have just frozen.
Winter fresh smells completely different than summer fresh. Both are good, just different. Summer smells like sunshine! Winter smells like, well, I'm not quite sure what winter smells like. It was a treat to have everything brisk and fresh, even if I can't put a descriptive word to it!
I'll tell you about the blue tarp on the roof another day! It's a long story....
Reynald has been working in the shop on the motor home. He installed new seat belts. It has been quite a project. When he bought the motor home, it only had lap belts on the passenger and driver seats. He didn't think that was safe. He installed a heavy metal channel iron under the carriage of the coach to attach the seats to, then installed more channel iron inside the coach, to attach the seat belts to. He assures me that we are now safe to travel!

Here's a photo of Reynald and Baxter sitting on the couch. Baxter loves to sit on a lap and chew on his "chewie".

Reynald has also been working on one of the tractors, and would still be working on it, except Western States Equipment does not have the necessary parts. This fall I lost a reaction arm bearing on my tractor. Actually started the tractor on fire as a result! It was not a good day! Fortunately, it was just a little fire, and the only thing it damaged was what was left of the reaction arm! But, it took three weeks to fix the tractor. There were a few frustrated exchanges between me and Western States, and me and the parts manager, and Reynald and Western States, and me and the sales rep and Reynald and the sales rep.....you get the idea. There was a promise by the regional parts manager, that they would be more vigilant about keeping parts on hand. Oops, guess they didn't do that.
Reyanld is changing the reaction arm bearings on his tractor, before they go out and start on fire! I guess it's a good thing he is doing it now, when we can afford to wait for three weeks for parts.
