Outdoor lights

Reynald and I put the outdoor Christmas lights up this afternoon.  This is one of my very favorite parts of the season.  It's dark outside, yet these bright and colorful lights look so cheerful.  I just love them from now until the end of January,

Putting outdoor lights on the pasture fence.

And on the outhouse!

The outhouse and the chicken house look so darling with the the lights!
As you can see, we had some help!

Baxter got a haircut yesterday so he wore his UT sweater today in the snow!

Leo supervised from various fence posts!

Here he's looking down at Baxter who was hoping that Leo would jump down and play.
Reynald is just getting started on a huge shop project.  I will help as needed, but the bulk of the work will go to him.  He is retro-fitting these old drills to make a new set.  We are taking 13 drills and making a set of seven.  We'll take various parts off, and put new ones on, or rebuild and scavenge when possible.  It's kind of hard to explain so I'll be sure to take photos of the process.  For now, these three are in the shop, ready to be begin the process.  Our goal is to be finished by Christmas.  It's an ambitious goal, but if we both focus, it's achievable.......we hope!

The first of many drills to be pulled in to the shop to be rebuilt and revised.

These don't have the packer wheels on.  New ones will be purchase and put on, hopefully before Christmas.  Wish us luck!
