Such a nice day yesterday afternoon. Set a record high for Spokane in the afternoon....58 degrees F! I started out the afternoon with a turtle neck, sweatshirt and my work vest. Peeled off the vest after about 20 minutes. Came close to peeling the sweatshirt too, but didn't.
I finished straightening up the brick path, which led me to this rose on the arbor. She can quickly get out of control with out a little tough love. She also had six babies over the course of the last two years, which I dug up and put in to a plastic garbage sack with water and some paper out of the shredder. I have a home for three, looking for someone to adopt the other three!

Going to confess to a little spring anxiety going on around here! Sure, it's mid February, but it feels like mid April. Reynald took advantage of the warm day and took Indy to Pumpkin Center to get the harrow. We have quite a bit of work to do to get it ready for spring work. We need to replace all the drag harrow. They have worked hard for the last 30 years and now it's time to retire! I'm sure we will find something else that needs repair as well, as we are working. It's way too early to be in the field, and surely the weather will turn colder again soon, but until it does, we are going to work outside and get stuff ready to go.

Last fall I seeded this bare patch of soil to grass. Hope it germinates this spring. |
