Winter White

We've had a little snow these last few days and it is so pretty.  Winter took it's time getting here, but once it made an appearance, it did so decidedly!  A little snow now, and very cold temperatures all next week.  Makes one thankful for a warm house and hot chocolate!

I had a little help shoveling the side walk and patio today, after which, I took a few photos of the winter white beauty.

The red barn is beautifully offset by the white snow.

We have lights strung along the house yard fence.

I also love the house with the white!

A look at the lights strung along the fence.

It was quite foggy today, making driving difficult on the country roads.

How quickly the look of the landscape changes with the seasons.

The outhouse is one of my favorite buildings in the snow.  Lights along the room line and a cheery evergreen wreath hanging on the door,

More lights along the pasture fence.  With the long, dark nights, the lights add a great deal of cheer.

I love it when the snow gathers on the tops of the lights.

Looks like we will have company for dinner tonight.  Santa hung his coat and hat outside on the porch before coming inside!
