During the winter the sun is low enough to cast a really cool shadow from the windmill, on the barn. A few things have to be in place to make this happen: 1. The sun has to be shining. 2. It has to be morning. 3. The windmill has to be facing directly north. So, when all these things align, and if I happen to be around when they do align, I stop what I am doing and spend a few moments gazing at the result. I just love it!
